PURPOSE
«ALPREP BTA» Lysis Buffer is an additional component for «ALPREP Forensic», «ALPREP Forensic Q», «ALPREP Forensic Plus», «ALPREP Forensic Auto», «ALPREP Forensic Auto A», «ALPREP Forensic Auto B», «ALPREP Forensic Auto L» kits. There are several challenges during nucleic acids extraction from bone and dental tissues. It is related to the need for prolonged lysis and the presence of a high amount of contaminants that hinder subsequent DNA analysis. «ALPREP BTA» Lysis Buffer allows for inhibitor-free DNA extraction from complex matrices, such as dental and bone powder, as well as adhesive materials, in a short time (3 hours).
ASSAY PRINCIPLE
The principle of assay is based on disruption and solubilization of cell membranes due to the presence of detergents in the buffer. Inorganic components found in bones and teeth, including calcium, are removed from samples using chelating agents.
