Description
PURPOSE
«ALPREP M-Sorb Blood» Extraction kit is designed for manual DNA extraction using the magnetic sorption method from whole blood samples (fresh or frozen) containing common anticoagulants like EDTA, citrate, and heparin.
ASSAY PRINCIPLE
Samples treated with anticoagulants such as citrate, EDTA, and heparin are suitable for analysis. The assay principle is based on the reversible binding of nucleic acids to the surface of magnetic particles due to the presence of chaotropic substances in the precipitation buffer. This is preceded by lysis and proteinase treatment of the sample. A series of subsequent washes ensures the production of a highly purified DNA preparation, which is then eluted in a low-salt buffer.
BIOMATERIAL FOR ANALYSIS
- Fresh human or animal blood samples treated with anticoagulants;
- Frozen human or animal blood samples treated with anticoagulants.
