Description

PURPOSE

«ALZYME HSTaq» DNA polymerase is used for standard and specialized applications, including:

  • routine PCR;
  • real-time PCR with TaqMan probes and intercalating dyes;
  • fragments amplification for TA cloning;
  • DNA labeling.

«Hot Start» technology ensures that enzyme is not active under the mixing conditions of the PCR mix and is activated after the initial denaturation step.

CHARACTERISTICS

ALZYME HSTaq is a recombinant thermostable enzyme that catalyses 5′ → 3′ synthesis of DNA in the presence of dNTPs and primers. It has 5′ → 3′ exonuclease activity but does not exhibit proofreading activity. ALZYME HSTaq allows efficient amplification of DNA fragments up to 5000 bp. Specific mutations provide resistance of the enzyme to some inhibitors contained in blood, soil, plant tissue, etc. ALZYME HSTaq generates PCR products with 3′-dA overhangs.

«ALZYME HSTaq BM» buffer provides optimal conditions for DNA polymerase. The final concentration of MgCl2 in the reaction mix is 2.5 mM. ALZYME HSTaq BM Free buffer does not contain MgCl2. MgCl2 is provided in a separate microtube. ALZYME HSTaq concentration is 5 U/µl.
