Description

PURPOSE

«ALZYME Elaine HSTaq» DNA polymerase is used for standard and specialized applications, including:

  • routine PCR;
  • real-time PCR with TaqMan probes and intercalating dyes;
  • amplification of fragments for TA cloning;
  • DNA labeling;
  • direct amplification from whole blood and plasma.

«Hot Start» technology ensures that enzyme is not active under the mixing conditions of the PCR mix and is activated after the initial denaturation step.

CHARACTERISTICS

«ALZYME Elaine HSTaq» is a recombinant Taq DNA polymerase characterized by an increased amplification rate and resistance to many PCR inhibitors. The enzyme is suitable for direct amplification of DNA from whole blood, dried blood spots and plasma. Possesses 5′ → 3′ exonuclease activity but does not exhibit proofreading activity. Two product variants are available: aptamer-inactivated enzyme and chemically inactivated enzyme. «ALZYME Elaine HSTaq» generates PCR products with 3′-dA overhangs.
