Description

PURPOSE

«ALZYME Taq» DNA polymerase is used for standard and specialized applications, including:

  • routine PCR;
  • real-time PCR with TaqMan probes and intercalating dyes;
  • fragments amplification for TA cloning;
  • DNA labeling.

CHARACTERISTICS

ALZYME Taq is a recombinant thermostable enzyme that catalyses 5′ → 3′ synthesis of DNA in the presence of dNTPs and primers. It has 5′ → 3′ exonuclease activity but does not exhibit proofreading activity. ALZYME Taq allows efficient amplification of DNA fragments up to 5000 bp. Specific mutations provide resistance of the enzyme to some inhibitors contained in blood, soil, plant tissue, etc. ALZYME Taq generates PCR products with 3′-dA overhangs.

«ALZYME Taq BM» buffer provides optimal conditions for DNA polymerase. The final concentration of MgCl2 in the reaction mix is 2.5 mM. «ALZYME Taq BM» Free buffer does not contain MgCl2. MgCl2 is provided in a separate microtube. ALZYME Taq concentration is 5 U/µl.
