Description

PURPOSE

«ALSENSE Forensic» Real-Time PCR kit is designed to eliminate errors in a pre-analytical stage during the following investigations:

  • Testing of biological material containing human epithelial cells;
  • Determination of human DNA presence in a sample;
  • Determination of human genomic DNA concentration;
  • Determination of human sex in a sample;
  • Assessment of the degree of human DNA fragmentation.

ASSAY PRINCIPLE

The kit is a multiplex, real-time PCR-based assay with hybridization-fluorescence detection of one or more accumulating PCR products.
DNA concentration is determined using a calibration curve constructed within the concentration range of 0.0032 ng/μL – 50 ng/μL. Amplification of different sizes autosomal fragments enables a reliable assessment of DNA quantity in the sample, while amplification of Y chromosome fragment allows for the human sex determination.

BIOMATERIAL FOR ANALYSIS

  • Nucleic acids extracted from forensic samples: nail material, subungual content, hair, blood, semen, epithelial cells, sputum, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, dental and bone tissue, etc.
