Description

«ALCHEM DNA Red SDS» Loading Dye is recommended for DNA samples loading with high content of DNA-binding proteins for agarose or polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis after restriction, ligation or dephosphorylation reactions.

Approximate positions of tracking dyes:

in 1 % agarose gel ‒ dye comigrates with 1000-2000 bp DNA fragments;
in 2 % agarose gel ‒ dye comigrates with 200-400 bp DNA fragments.

Migration rate of the dye depends on the electrode buffer used, the type of agarose and the percentage of agarose in the gel.
