«ALCHEM DNA Green» Loading Dye contains two dyes.
Approximate positions of tracking dyes:
- in 1% agarose gel – yellow dye comigrates with ~50 bp DNA fragments, blue dye – 3000-5000 bp;
- in 2 % agarose gel – yellow dye comigrates with ~10 bp DNA fragments, blue dye – 900-1000 bp.
Migration rate of the dye depends on the electrode buffer used, the type of agarose and the percentage of agarose in the gel.
