Description
PURPOSE
«ALMUNO Antibiotic Chloramphenicol» Kit is intended for quantitative determination of chloramphenicol by ELISA in the following matrices:
- milk (raw, pasteurized, sterilized), milk powder, reconstituted whey powder, condensed milk, ice cream, milk-based shakes;
- reconstituted dry milk infant formula;
- cheese, eggs, butter, cottage cheese, yoghurt, kefir, sour cream;
- meat, meat products, lard, including bacon, animal fats, tinned meat and meat and vegetable products, fish, fish products and shrimps;
- honey;
- feed (mixed feed, meat and bone meal).
PRINCIPLE OF METHOD
The method is based on a competitive colorimetric enzyme-linked immunoassay. During the analysis chloramphenicol from the sample competes with chloramphenicol from horseradish peroxidase conjugate for binding to anti-chloramphenicol antibodies in the wells of the plate. The concentration of chloramphenicol in the sample is determined from a calibration curve constructed with 6 calibration solutions.
