Description
PURPOSE
An isotonic buffer solution is used to prevent hypertonic or hypotonic conditions that could lead to cell damage, to maintain the stability of physiological parameters of cells such as size, shape and functionality, and to provide optimal conditions for operation of a flow cytometer.
«ALFLOW Isoton» solution is intended for use as a buffer to maintain pH balance, to create conditions for the movement of sample cells through the flowcell, as well as to wash the hydrodynamic focusing system of flow cytometer between sample analyses.
PRINCIPLE OF USE
The cell suspension prepared for analysis is injected under pressure into the center of the isotonic solution flow moving in the same direction through a specially designed tip. The pressure difference between the cell flow and the isotonic solution flow creates conditions for the ordered movement of individual cells of the sample through the flow cell of the flow cytometer.
