On June 14, 2023, in Baku, more than 100 specialists from Azerbaijan, Turkey, Croatia, Belarus and Russia took part in a conference dedicated to droplet PCR research and its application in science and diagnostics.

The main goal of the event organizer Bayramli Group was to emphasize the importance of developing molecular technologies in Azerbaijan and Western Asia, as they provide new opportunities for research and diagnosis of infections, detection of single tumor cells, viral load assessment in food safety and vaccine production.

The headliner of the conference was Bio-Rad, a world leader in droplet digital PCR systems and innovative products for biomedical research. The company’s experts presented reliable solutions for PCR: the CFX96 and QX600 nucleic acid amplifiers, as well as the GelDoc Go and Bio-Plex Multiplex systems.

The agricultural section discussed the studies conducted in Azerbaijan using PCR diagnostics, the role of PCR in the diagnosis of zoonotic diseases, detection and diagnosis of plant pathogens, and the role of influenza A in the context of health.

It was very valuable for Algimed Techno to be invited as a partner and to have the opportunity not only to share its own experience, but also to present at an international level its own CleanCheck product line: reagent kits for hygienic and sanitary control in laboratories, in particular for contamination detection.

As a result, the event covered not only different generations of PCR: from conventional amplification and real-time PCR to droplet digital PCR, but also affordable approaches to solving complex application problems in various fields of research.

We hope it will become a good tradition to gather like-minded colleagues in sunny Baku, establish new business contacts, find answers to urgent questions and get wise advice.
