Description
PURPOSE
«NOVAPREP Processor System» is designed for the preparation of cytological slides in fully automatic mode. It converts a cell suspension sample contained in «NOVAPREP® HQ + Orange Vial» into a thin homogeneous cellular layer. This automated preparation process includes randomization of cell suspension, pipetting of relevant cells and transfer of cells in a decantation chamber onto a microscope slide. «NOVAPREP Processor System» provides a possibility to carry out the aliquoting of biomaterial for additional diagnostics (PCR, immunocytochemistry). «NOVAPREP Processor System 25» (16 slides/16 vials/128 tests per day) and «NOVAPREP Processor System 50» (48 slides/48 vials/384 tests per day) are available for ordering. The NOVAPREP technology saves time (simplifies the preparation process), is cost-effective (affordable cost, less consumables), and is variable in the choice of spot diameter and staining techniques to obtain the best quality preparation.
COMPREHENSIVE SOLUTION FOR LIQUID CYTOLOGY
The system is additionally supplied with:
- «NOVAPREP HQ + Orange Vial» are innovative containers for the storage and transport of cell samples; the unique design allows to carry out the aliquoting without destroying the cap and thus preserving the sample for other studies;
- «NOVAPREP HQ + Grey Vials» are containers for the storage and transport of non-gynecological specimens, such as those collected by puncture (fine-needle aspiration);
- «NOVAPREP Slide» are adhesive-coated slides that effectively fix cells to the surface;
- «NOVAPREP Decantation Systems» are consumables for preparing a round spot of the desired diameter;
- «NOVAPREP HQ + Preservative Solution» is a fixative solution that preserves cellular material and minimizes background contamination in the cytological specimen;
- «NOVAPREP Decontamination liquid» is a cleaning solution for the NOVAPREP system.
BIOMATERIAL FOR ANALYSIS
The samples to be analysed can be:
- scraping of the cervix and cervical canal;
- fine-needle biopsies of the thyroid, breast and salivary glands;
- cerebrospinal fluid;
- bronchial flushes;
- brush biopsy of the bile ducts;
- peritoneal effusion;
- urine;
- serous fluids.
