Designed for storage and transportation of cell suspension samples for liquid cytology diagnostic with «NOVAPREP Processor System».

The unique vial design enables aliquoting without the need to open the vial.

The sedimentation cone effectively concentrates cells and cell clusters.

Description

PURPOSE

NOVAPREP HQ + Orange Vials are intended for storage and transportation of gynecological biomaterial. They are filled with preserving solution which possesses haemolytic and mucolytic properties. The unique design of the vial enables to aliquote the specimen without opening the cap and to perform additional studies from the same vial (PCR, immunocytochemistry, etc.).

CELL SAMPLING

Cell sampling should be performed by qualified personnel only. For cervical samples: gently swab cervix presenting excessive mucus before specimen collection. Perform the sampling and dip the brush carrying the cellular material into the vial. Gently rub the brush head at least 6 times back and forth against the nylon membrane in order to better extract the remaining cells carried by the brush. Use the abutment to detach the removable brush head and keep it into the vial. Close the cap, label the specimen, and send it to a laboratory together with the required documents for its processing.
