«ALSENSE-SARS-CoV-2-RT-qPCR» Real-Time PCR kit, Cat.N ALSARS5-96 are designed to detect RNA from coronavirus including “British” (20I/501Y.V1, VOC 202012/01, or «alpha» B.1.1.7), “South African” (20H/501Y.V2, «beta» B.1.351., «omicron» variant B.1 .1.529), as well as “Brazilian” («gamma» P.1) and “Indian” (AY.1 or «delta» B.1.617.2,) strains by a single-step polymerase chain reaction with real-time fluorescence detection.
The kit detects conserved sequences in the E and N genes of coronavirus 2019-nCoV. Currently gene sequences of wild-type, ‘British’, ‘South African’ and ‘Brazilian’ strains of 2019-nCoV coronavirus have been identified by sequencing. The gene sequences determined by the “ALSENSE-SARS-CoV-2-RT-qPCR” reagent kit correspond to the gene sequences of all the above strains.
Therefore, “ALSENSE-SARS-CoV-2-RT-qPCR” reagent kits allows the detection of “British”, “South African”, “Brazilian” strains of coronavirus 2019-nCoV, but does not allow its differentiation from all other strains of coronavirus 2019-nCoV.

Real-Time PCR kit ALSENSE-SARS-CoV-2-RT-qPCR is intended to use when 2019-nCoV coronavirus infection is suspected (in case of fever, fatigue, loss of appetite, cough (dry), sore throat, headache or shortness of breath).
