«ALSENSE Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii» Reagent kit
«ALSENSE Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartia» Reagent kit is designed for the detection of the specific Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartii DNA by real-time PCR based on TaqMan technology in nucleic acid preparations. The kit is used for research purposes.
Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartia is a non-motile, non-spore-forming Gram-negative bacterium causing Stewart's wilt of corn. It mainly affects Zea mays, especially Zea mays subsp. saccharata, cultivated rice (Oryza sativa), and some cereals. The phytopathogen is a quarantine object for the Republic of Belarus, countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and countries belonging to the European and Mediterranean Plant Protection Organization (EPPO A2 list).

The principle of «ALSENSE Pantoea stewartii subsp. stewartia» Reagent kit involves real-time polymerase chain reaction (real-time PCR) with hybridization-fluorescence detection on a DNA matrix. The PCR method is based on the repeated doubling of a specific DNA site using DNA polymerase in vitro. As a result, DNA copies are produced in sufficient quantity to accurately determine the result. The specified DNA site is copied during the reaction, only if it meets the specificity conditions set forth in the structure of primers and fluorescent probe, and only if it is present in the sample under study.
