Description
PURPOSE
«ALMUNO Antibiotic Streptomycin» Kit is intended for quantitative determination of streptomycin by ELISA in the following matrices:
- milk (raw, pasteurized, sterilized), reconstituted milk powder, reconstituted infant food;
- yoghurt, sour cream, reconstituted whey powder, milk whey, milk-based shakes, ice cream, cottage cheese, butter, cheese;
- condensed milk, honey;
- meat, meat products, eggs, offal (liver, kidneys), tinned meat and meat and vegetable products, fat, lard, including bacon.
PRINCIPLE OF METHOD
The method is based on a competitive colorimetric enzyme-linked immunoassay. During the analysis streptomycin from the sample competes with the antibiotic molecules immobilized on the surface of the microplate wells for binding to antibodies (anti-streptomycin). The resulting complex is detected using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies. The concentration of streptomycin in the sample is determined from a calibration curve constructed with 6 calibration solutions.
